INTERACTIVE PROGRAMMING PROJECTS

In this offering, campers will learn Arduino, which is an open-source electronics platform based on easy-to-use hardware and software. It’s intended for anyone making interactive projects, and features hardware components that are very affordable, which allows builders to create whatever they can imagine.

Arduino senses the environment by receiving inputs from many sensors, and affects its surroundings by controlling lights, motors, speakers, and other devices. Campers will tell their Arduino motherboards what to do by writing code in the Arduino programming language and by utilizing the Arduino development environment. According to its site – https://www.arduino.cc/en/about -‘Arduino designs, manufactures, and supports electronic devices and software, allowing people around the world to easily access advanced technologies that interact with the physical world. Our products are straightforward, simple, and powerful, ready to satisfy users’ needs from students to makers and all the way to professional developers.’

The list of projects one can make with Arduino is seemingly infinite. Projects include: Heart rate and Ox Monitors, Bluetooth Controlled Cars, Plant Communicators, Ultrasonic Security Systems, Power Meters, LED Glasses and so much more. If interested, check out Arduino’s project page for ideas before camp begins linked here – https://projecthub.arduino.cc/trending

Please note, campers considering this offering must have programming experience, like the graphical coding type taught in our Vex Robotics Camps.
